The Work at Daatselaar, also called Fort Daatselaar, lies hidden in the landscape near Renswoude and formed an important link within the Grebbelinie. From this strategic location, the Groeperkade and Slaperdijk were monitored, and control over the water was maintained via the dam sluice in the Lunterse Beek.

Although the fort originated in the 18th century, it took on its current form in 1799. Today, you mainly see its outlines reflected in the landscape, carefully restored and made visible again. Among the greenery, you can discover how cleverly water and differences in elevation were used to defend the area.
