Mill Queen Wilhelmina - Dongen

Dongen is home to a handsome round stone mound corn mill. The green mill beard bears its name: 'Queen Wilhelmina', and the year 1893.

After several changes of owners, the mill was sold to the adjacent Whippet shoe factory. The mill and its outbuilding served as a horse stable and storage space for hay and straw.

In the early 1970s, a restoration plan was drawn up in consultation with the municipality to restore the mill to its original state.
