Museum Kranenburgh houses an art collection spanning from 1900 to today. There is plenty to see and do, but the core of the museum is formed by the art of the Bergen School. Bergen was an artists’ village: its natural landscape and unique light attracted many artists to settle here. Names such as Charley Toorop, Else Berg, Leo Gestel, Gustave de Smet and Jan Sluijters are closely associated with this place. Masterpieces by these artists can be seen in the museum.
