When you are on the Marisberg, you are standing at the highest point of the Peel. The area, covering around 19 hectares, consists of heathland and forest and is also known as the Belgenhoekpeel. On top of the hill there is a forest of about 2.5 hectares.
Despite being on a hill, the Marisberg is characterised by very little relief and gentle slopes. The Scots pines grow in gravelly sandy soil. The Marisberg is privately owned.
