Terrace Route Mills finest mysteries
Cuijk, Mill, Beers
From Cuijk, you set off towards the charming and mysterious village of Mill. Passing the Kraaijenbergse Plassen, the route takes you through the varied landscape of north-eastern North Brabant, just south of Nijmegen. You'll cycle past streams, meadows and historic country estates, including the impressive and enigmatic Tongelaar Estate.
The estate is steeped in history. According to local legend, a hidden treasure is concealed somewhere inside the tower of the manor house.
Once you arrive in Mill, you'll discover a village with a rich past. St Willibrord's Church has played an important role in local life for centuries. Over the years, the church has supported the community, while the villagers have also helped preserve the church. The fact that it still stands proudly today is far from self-evident. Take a moment to stop and discover its remarkable story.
In front of the church, in the heart of the village, stands the Millse Maaier, a statue that symbolises the connection between old and new Mill and reflects the strength of the local community.
From Mill, the route continues through the charming village of Sint Hubert towards Cuijk. During carnival, the village is known as Nölersriek. Perhaps you'll uncover another mystery in Haps or back in Cuijk.
One thing is certain, though: you'll pass plenty of wonderful terraces along the way. Take your time to enjoy a coffee, lunch or refreshing drink before ending your cycling day with a delicious dinner.
