All the good comes in threes, says an old folk wisdom. Then you are right with this cycle route: it leads you along three beautiful waterways and three forts. So you cycle along the Linge, the Waal and the Afgedamde Maas.

Also you come along three beautiful places namely the fortified town Woudrichem, the beautiful Asperen on the Linge and the early medieval town Heukelum. Woudrichem is surrounded by defensive works and has a rich history as a trading centre. In Asperen, located on the banks of the Linge, you can enjoy the many historic buildings, including a medieval church and a former orphanage. Heukelum has a beautiful old centre and an imposing castle.

Continue the series and step on the way off to go on discovery at three different forts. As icing on the cake, finally, you come along The Glassworks and Battery under Brakel.
