Nearly 60 kilometres of enjoying vast marsh terraces, polders, young forests, old estates and lots of art in that beautiful landscape. You will be treated to a route full of serene nature and cultural highlights. Cycle through Maassluis harbour, where historic ships bob on the rippling water. As you cycle along the lively quay and enjoy the fresh sea air, you will catch a glimpse of the city's rich maritime history. From Maassluis, set course for nature reserves such as the Vlietlanden, the Abtswoudse and Ackerdijks Bossen and Plassen and Polder Schieveen. In Polder Schieveen and Vlietlanden, you will admire the serene beauty of the green landscape as you paddle along the paths. You are surrounded by the soothing sound of reeds moving gently in the wind and water birds chirping happily. Here, you can pause for a moment and enjoy the wide view, while grazing cows curiously look up at you. The Abtswoudse and Ackerdijkse Bossen are young forests that contrast nicely with the surrounding polders. Cycle along winding paths, feast your eyes and be surprised by the many art and Land Art objects along the way that are a cultural gem in this nature-rich area.
