Havelte, Dwingeloo, Ruinen
Zuidwest Drenthe has a rich past. In the Middle Ages, this area was governed by high lords who lived in beautiful estates and manor houses. While cycling, Dieuwertje Blok* takes you along these locations, where you can dismount at some and take a tour.
In the historic village of Ruinen, with a past as Hooge Heerlyckheid, you can visit the Maria church on some days. And don't skip the terraces either!
