National Park Zuid-Kennemerland is known for its enormous variety. In this former water catchment area you will encounter romantic estates, dune lakes and ancient oaks. Climb the high dune tops for fantastic views or walk to the beach and sea. Special animals and plant species can be found here that you won't find anywhere else in the Netherlands. Large grazers such as konik horses, shetland ponies and Scottish highland cattle provide grazing for this unique nature reserve. In addition, you will also cycle through the inner city of Haarlem. It is known for its charming canals, historic architecture and vibrant culture. Haarlem has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages and still retains much of its old charm.
