The Dune & Sea route takes you in 33 kilometres along the most beautiful nature reserves and numerous sights around Leiden, Katwijk and Wassenaar. You pedal through the National Park Hollandse Duinen (Dutch Dunes), where the landscape surprises again and again. Along the way, you can hear the waves of the North Sea lapping in the background. Via one of the many beach entrances along the route, your feet will be in the sand in no time. Take a moment to relax with a culinary break in an atmospheric beach pavilion, stroll along Katwijk's lively promenade or be inspired by one of the museums you encounter along the way. You combine the vibrant, cultural centre of Leiden with the beautiful nature on the coast. As you sniff the salty sea air, you can feel the wind through your hair. This route is a great way to get a breath of fresh air along the beach.
