During this beautiful cycle route, you will pass several interesting places, including the charming village of Beek. The name of this village is derived from the Keutelbeek, which flows through the centre. Beek has even discovered remains of a village settlement dating back to 500 BC, giving the village an extra historical dimension during your trip. Along the way, you can visit several historical sights. These include Doenrade Castle, which has existed since 1117. You can also get off at viewpoint De Beukenberg, where you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views. There is also fishpond De Driepoel, an ideal place to relax. Don't forget to take a break at one of the many cosy terraces for a well-deserved lunch. This cycle route offers something for everyone and is a great way to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
