The Randmeren can be fully discovered by bike thanks to the construction of new cycle paths. In this context, Gastvrije Randmeren (an alliance of 16 municipalities located along the Randmeren) developed the 'Rondje Randmeren' together with Fietsnetwerk.nl: a cycling tour along both sides of the Randmeren, from Almere to Kampen. A route for true lovers of water, polders and long-distance routes. This one is a whopping 189 kilometres!

Around the Randmeren, you will come across several places to spend the night. Make a cycling holiday of it and stay overnight at RCN Holiday Park Zeewolde, for example, situated directly on the water of the Wolderwijd.

Please note: this cycling route includes a ferry crossing. Are you cycling the route when the ferry is not operating? Then follow the detour from junction 11 via 12, 8, 19 and 20, and rejoin the route at junction 25. Or follow the reverse direction if you are cycling the route the other way around.
